The Procedure

A Common Condition, A Discreet Solution

Gynecomastia — from the Greek for “women-like breasts” — is far more common than many realize, affecting an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men. It may involve one breast or both, and while some cases trace to specific medications or medical conditions, a large percentage arise from unknown causes.

Men of any age who are healthy and emotionally stable are considered good candidates. The best results come to those with firm, elastic skin that will reshape to the chest's new contour. Surgery may be discouraged for overweight men who haven't first tried diet and exercise.
