Refresh And Rejuvenate Your Upper Face

A forehead lift treats the conditions of aging in the upper face, and can be done on its own or with other procedures for a more harmonious result. Younger adults with a naturally low brow, or with deep frown lines from active muscles, may benefit as well.

Over the years the procedure has evolved from open techniques to shorter-incision and endoscopic methods. Through incisions hidden in the scalp, Dr. Carlin can soften the muscles that cause frown lines, remove excess skin, and lift the eyebrows to a more pleasing, youthful position.

Am I a good candidate for a forehead lift?

You may be a good candidate if you have a sagging or low brow that creates a tired or sad appearance, deep horizontal creases across the forehead, or frown lines and furrows between the eyebrows.

Where are the incisions?

Usually within the hair-bearing scalp, designed to be inconspicuous once healed. If your main concern is the frown lines between your eyebrows, a limited endoscopic procedure can sometimes address them alone.

Where is the surgery performed?

In our own private surgery center at the practice in West Columbia — not a hospital. The same team you meet at your consultation cares for you on the day of surgery and through recovery.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Carlin Plastic Surgery does not accept insurance. We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and CareCredit financing.

What are your office hours?

Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is closed on Friday. After hours, surgical patients can reach Dr. Carlin through our answering service. Directions and contact details.

What happens at a first visit?
